The Once and Future Witches is a lyrical, atmospheric celebration of women. It is an alternate history of witchcraft, empowerment, and women’s rights. Harrow combines real events and historical figures in a condensed timeline with witchcraft and magic. Taking place in 1893, the story follows the three Eastwood sisters in their quest to return witchcraft to the world. Strengths: Harrow is a talented writer and I loved the lyrical prose.
